Colombian customer orders four 250-tonne excavators
During the Bauma trade fair, Masering SAS from Barranquilla in Colombia signed a contract to supply another four R 9250 backhoe bucket hydraulic excavators, which will be used in the “El Hatillo” coal mine in northern Colombia. The mining excavators will join the Masering fleet, which already includes four R 9350 350-tonne excavators, by late 2010 or early 2011.

The R 9250 has an operating weight of 250 tonnes and is equipped with a backhoe with a capacity of 15 m³ at a material density of 1.8t/m³. The four new machines will be deployed in the lower part of the mine, as their lighter operating weight and more compact size mean they can be used more flexibly.
