Liebherr has added the LiDAT data transmission and locating system, a new development, to its service programme. LiDAT provides a unified platform for the management of Liebherr machine fleets in the earthmoving, tower crane and maritime crane areas. Since machines of other makes can also be integrated, even extensive machine fleets can be managed in this way.

LiDAT supplies information on the location of the machines and their operation. The data include the machine’s position, operating and utilisation times, fuel consumption and service intervals. This also makes more efficient planning of mechanics’ schedules possible. Overloading and incorrect operation are systematically documented.

Depending on the chosen subscription, data are brought up to date multiple times per day and can be called up browser-based via GPRS or by data carrier.

Major construction sites can be divided into freely definable machine groups for organisational reasons. Time or location-limits can be imposed on individual machines.

For rental companies, LiDAT enables machine positions to be identified quickly, and the machine operating details provide a firm basis for calculating rental charges.
