Travelling on crawler tracks, the 120 KR.1 is an alternative version of the standard 120 K.1 fast-erecting crane.

The crane can of course travel erect and fully ballasted, which means that movement from one work area to the next takes very little time. A 120 kVA electrical generator is available so that the 120 KR.1 can travel and operate without an outside electric power connection. The new crawler undercarriage can be used to carry fast-erecting cranes and the smaller top-slewing cranes in the 71 to 120 mt size categories.

The 120 KR.1 is a new development that incorporates knowhow from three Liebherr product areas. The crawler track drive comes from the HS 835 duty cycle crawler crane, the supports use technology from the mobile crane area, and the crane superstructure and overall con-ception were in the hands of Liebherr’s tower crane specialists.
