The new 280 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib crane
Liebherr are expanding their range of luffing jib crane, and are taking advantage of the BAUMA 2010 to showcase the new 280 HC-L 12/24 Litronic. This new luffing jib crane bridges the gap between the 180 HC L, which is also a newcomer, and the 355 HC-L. The 280 HC-L is available in three variants with maximum lifting capacities of 16, 24 and 28 tonnes. The maximum lifting capacity of the version on show at the Bauma is 24,000 kg, with a maximum radius of 60.0 m.

As an alternative to the standard 355 HC tower system, the 280 HC-L 12/24 Litronic has the option of the 355 IC tower climbing system, which can be used for climbing both inside and outside the building. With the extremely compact tower cross-section of 1.9 m x 1.9 m, the 355 IC can climb to the heights even in narrow lift shafts. For very high free-standing tower heights of over 75 metres the 280 HC L 12/24 Litronic can also be mounted on the 500 HC tower system. With all the tower systems available, the new luffing jib crane can achieve unique free-standing tower heights of up to 76.5 m.

Thanks to easy re-reeving of the load hook from one line to two lines, rapid adjustment to different loads with optimum hoist speed is guaranteed. Easy re-reeving and very high empty hook speeds provide added support in achieving high handling capacities and increase the economy of the crane on site even further.
