New industrial lift arm for Wheel loaders L 550 2plus2 and L 556 2plus2
At the 2010 ‘Bauma’ construction-industry trade fair Liebherr is introducing a new industrial lift frame for the two wheel loader models L 550 2plus2 and L 556 2plus2. In addition to the standard Z-pattern kinematics used for regular work, the industrial lift frame has special kinematics to suit heavy attachments such as a log grab or other industrial equipment. The geometry of this lift frame permits high levels of torque and force to be applied at unusual lift heights. Weight distribution has been optimised to permit the largest possible payloads to be handled. The industrial lift frame has a hydraulic quick-change system as standard equipment, so that items from Liebherr’s extensive programme of optional attachments can be picked up and detached quickly and safely. Precise parallel movement over the entire lifting range with no need to correct the loader’s position and an excellent view of all work areas are features that promote safe, stress-free working with this device.

Performance
The Liebherr driveline allows the Liebherr diesel engine to be mounted lengthways in the rear, with the output shaft facing backwards. Compared to conventionally driven wheel loaders, the operating weight is much lower, the tipping load is higher, and more material can be moved each operating hour.
