Flat-top-cranes EC-B
Since their introduction in 2005, the Flat-Top crane series have established themselves as a huge success on the market thanks to their practical advantages in transport and simplified assembly using the “Connect&Work“ system. There are now fourteen models, well spaced over the load moment range between 50 and 285 mt.

And as with all the models in the range, the central unit of the Flat-Top crane is the innovative compact head. This completely pre-assembled unit consists of the moveable cab, the switchgear cabinet, the jib folding frame, the slewing gear, the slewing ring with the slewing ring support, and the current collector. All electrical connections are rapidly established by means of just a few plug connections.

Rapid connection of the jib of EC-B cranes is achieved thanks to the ‘LiConnect’ system, developed by Liebherr and protected as a utility model. The jibs are welded tight and securely connected using the rapid connection system. One centering pin and one locking pin in each case transfer the force in the lower chords by means of a positive-fit surface.

At the 2010 Bauma, Liebherr will exhibit the new 285 EC-B 12 Litronic Flat-Top crane.
