The new R 954 C VH-HDW, with its reach height of 34 metres, is located between the 28-m R 954 C and the 41-m R 974 C in the Liebherr demolition excavator programme.

The standard working equipment of this 85 t model, which weighs 85 metric tons, consists of a 14.50-m long demolition pin, a 2.50-m long intermediate adapter and an 11.0-m long demolition dipper arm.

Like all current Liebherr demolition excavators the R 954 C VH-HDW has a 360° working range that can be fully utilised without any loss of stability. It is reliably supported by another standard equipment item, the Liebherr Demolition Control (LDC) system.

The special cabin for demolition work can be tilted back continuously by up to 30 degrees, for an excellent view of the work area. For the operator’s safety, a single-piece FOPS stone guard is mounted directly on the tilting mechanism.

Like all Liebherr C Series crawler excavators, the R 954 C VH-HDW is powered by a Liebherr diesel engine that complies with current noise and exhaust emission limits. It is an inline six-cylinder unit with an output of 240 kW (326 hp) at 1,800 min^-1 engine speed.
