LRH 100 piling rig
The new LRH 100 piling rig developed by Liebherr is being shown to the public for the first time at the 2010 ‘Bauma’. As the smallest model, the LRH 100 completes the lower end of this Liebherr range of swinging and hanging leaders.

The LRH series now consists of four machines with leader load capacities between 15 and 70 tons. They are primarily intended for piling tasks that call for an unusually high outreach. Depending on the actual application, basic machines from the Liebherr HS series of duty cycle crawler cranes, crawler cranes (LR series) or rotary drilling rigs (LB series) are used.

Performance and equipment features
The LRH 100 is based on the well-proven LB 20 basic machine from the LB series of Liebherr rotary drilling rigs. The LRH’s entirely new leader kinematics permit outreaches as high as 8.75 metres and a maximum angle of 18° in any direction. As a result, complete sequences of piles can be driven from a single location before the basic machine has to be moved.

For the new LRH 100 Liebherr is again offering an extensive range of high-performance attachments, which ensure that output from the basic machine is optimally translated into effective work. The LRH 100’s adaptable hammer concept enables hammer weights between 2.5 and 7 tons to be installed and in this way matched ideally to the material being driven: wooden, concrete or heavy steel piles.

Versatility for increased efficiency, low cost transport
The LRH 100 can be moved from place to place complete, without removing the hammer; this greatly reduces the time needed to begin work on the construction site. The machine has a transport weight of only 66 t, a transport length of 16.5 m and a height of 3.4 m. Since the basic machine is so compact, with a transport width of only 3.0 m, movements from one job-site to the next can be performed quickly and at low cost.
